Asics Gel Nimbus 15 Womens
The flagship cushioning shoe in the ASICS collection the GEL-NIMBUS 15 provides exceptional comfort and cushioning for neutral and underpronating runners. This 15th edition can safely be called the most comfortable edition ever. It introduces a new upper of FluidFit two-direction stretch mesh. Along with the Heel Clutching System and Discrete Eyestay Construction it ensures a superb customised fit. Also adding to the shoes great comfort are the full-length SpEVA lasting and the innovative FluidRide midsole construction which provide the ultimate plush ride. The Trusstic System included in the men?s edition offers a bit more torsional rigidity for added support. The Full Length Guidance Line a groove along the sole guides your foot through the gait cycle and helps you run more efficiently even when fatigue sets in. With its high-tech cushioned ride the GEL-NIMBUS 15 is your ideal partner on long runs.

Asymmetrical Lacing Design
An anatomically correct lacing environment that reduces potential for irritation and provides improved comfort and fit.

ComforDry sockliner
Insole placed inside the shoe which provides cushioning keeping the foot drier and cooler.

I.G.S. (Impact Guidance System)
The Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.) is an ASICS design philosophy. It aims to make shoe components from rear to midfoot and forefoot to work together effectively to allow the body to perform in a natural manner. ASICS designers strive to compliment, not correct, how the legs and feet move.

Space Trusstic System
Plastic bridge under the arch creating a pocket between it and the midsole which improves flexibility and gives the shoe strength and stability.

AHAR (ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber)
Tough material placed in critical areas of heavy contact on the shoe for exceptional durability.

Discrete eyestay lacing
A new lacing development that uses indepently placed eyelets. This concept evens the lacing tension across the foot, creating a customized fit and enhanced upper comfort.

Removable Sockliner
A sockliner which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.

Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL
Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning
Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning refers to the inclusion of specially formulated Solyte material in the forefoot. The material's density is reduced, allowing the female foot to compress it sufficiently and benefit fully from the bounce-back qualities of Solyte. Traditionally, women's running shoes contained cushioning material of the same density as men's. However, as women are usually lighter than men, the female foot would not fully compress the material, resulting in a less than optimal ride. Gender Specific Forefoot Cushioning addresses this issue and provides women with a more comfortable and responsive ride. The cushioning material, located under the ball of the foot and extending across the width of the shoe, also acts as an efficient shock absorber.

Guidance Line
Guidance Line places a visible groove in the mid and outsole that follows the foot's center of pressure from heel to toe. The result is a more adaptive running platform, creating a smoother transition from heel strike to toe-off with each stride. The Guidance Line thus helps runners to maintain a natural, efficient gait, especially over long distances.

Biomorphic Fit Upper
Stretchy material strategically placed on the upper which reduces bunching when the shoe moves reducing the risk of blisters and irritation.

3M Reflectivity
Special reflective material which enhances visibility in poor light. 3m Scotchlite is a registered trademark of the 3M Company.

Solyte Midsole Material
Spongy layer between the sole and upper designed to absorb shock and cushion the foot. Solyte is a lighter material than SpEVA and EVA and features enhanced durability.

Plus3
Plus3 refers to a 3mm raise of the heel compared to the forefoot. The effect this has is to reduce strain on the Achilles tendon. As women's hormonal levels fluctuate during their monthly cycle, the Achilles tendon becomes lax or stretches, increasing the potential for injury. Plus3 reduces the load and tension on the Achilles tendon and reduces the risk of injuries.

DuraSponge
DuraSponge is a blown AHAR compound for enhanced cushioning and durability in the forefoot. ASICS High Abrasion Resistance Rubber (AHAR) is a tough compound used at the heavy contact area of the outsole.
